Díli, 03 September 2026 — The Governor of Banco Central de Timor-Leste (BCTL), Mr. Hélder Lopes, accompanied by Vice-Governor Ms. Sara Brites, held a courtesy meeting with the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States of America in Timor-Leste, Mr. Bruce Begnell, at BCTL.

The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and discuss initiatives related to combating the circulation of counterfeit currency, promoting cybersecurity, and advancing digital payment services in Timor-Leste.
